THE Suns have pulled the trigger on first-round draft pick Peter Wright to make his AFL debut against Sydney Swans tomorrow.
Taken with pick No. 8 in the 2014 draft, the 203cm, 100kg ruckman/forward has been finding his feet in the NEAFL and has strung together a handful of impressive performances.
The Suns have been mindful of not rushing Wright despite a crippling injury toll but the omission of key forward Charlie Dixon for breaching the club’s alcohol policy left them with little choice.
Andrew Raines has won a recall along with Matt Shaw in place of Alex Sexton who is battling a hip injury and Jack Martin who did his hamstring in the first minute of the heavy loss to Hawthorn.
