Richmond star Brett Deledio has moved into seventh place in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award following his superb performance against Adelaide at the MCG last Saturday.
Deledio, who played a rebounding role off half-back to perfection, picking up 28 disposals, including five rebound-50s and five inside-50s, with nine marks, received a total of eight votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick and Brenton Sanderson.
He now has 39 votes for the season, behind runaway leader, Gold Coast captain Gary Ablett, on 73.
